- St James College（http://m.liuxue360.com/au/stjamescol/）was established in 1868 by Catholic lay teachers and the administration of the school was taken over by the Christian Brothers in 1893. The first lay Principal was appointed in 2002 and the College now falls under the auspices of the Northern Region (Qld) of Edmund Rice Education Australia. It is now staffed by lay staff.
Well-resourced facilities are parallel to industry standards in the areas of Catering and Hospitality, Construction, Engineering and Business. Technology is a key area of development at St James. Links to the Internet and interactive multimedia opportunities are available to all students and teachers.
