- 科廷大学1967年建立，1987成立大学。现有学生2万4千多人，其中海外学生有5千多人。科廷大学也是澳大利亚科技大学联盟Group of Australian Technology Network的成员之一。1986年大学新命名为现在的“Curtin”，这个名字乃取自于澳大利亚前总理约翰科廷（John Curtin）之名。
