留学360介绍：弗吉尼亚理工通过七个本科生学院提供约65种学士课程，145个硕士及博士课程，另有一个弗吉尼亚-马里兰兽医医药地区学院（Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine）的专业课程。除此之外，由学校和加利永诊所合办的一所公私合资模式的学院，弗吉尼亚理工-加利永医学院暨研究所（Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute）在2010年秋开始招生，包括弗吉尼亚理工-加利永医学院（VTCSOM）以及弗吉尼亚理工-加利永研究所（VTCRI）两个研究教育机构。[2]

1997年起，弗吉尼亚理工测试并采用了新的代数授课方式，这种新的授课方式采用一对一小班化教学的计算机软件，因而能提供即时回馈。这种方式在提高学生成绩的同时有效减少学校开支。随后，约200家学校据此也开始使用这个方式。因为必修的代数课不及格是全美大学生退学的主要原因之一，这个授课方式被认为能够提高学生的竞争能力。
